I.O.D. IN OUR DEFENSE Friday Boys 1997?

I.O.D. (In Our Defense) formed during the heydays of the Pensacola, Florida punk rock scene around the year 1997. This was their only release that I know of. They sold the tape at a local indie record store so I am hoping they won't kill me for posting this. I fucking love it!

I ripped it from the original cassette. Enjoy this hardcore punk gem.

Caveat: there is a brief blank spot in the tape at about the 15 minute mark.

NEW WAVE BLASPHEMY

New, fast, & loud from Pensacola, FL!
Review from Metal Maniacs (!): "With spastic energy and a tone that'll raise neck hairs, these crazies rip through seven tracks of modern post-grindcore mayhem along the line of Hellnation, Combat Wounded Veteran, and early Orchid, with a nod to the stuff that Rorschach and Deadguy started but Converge got recognition for. The New Wave Blasphemy come out fighting from the get go and mercilessly bash you into the dirt repeatedly until you tap out. A killer blend of ear-bleeding high-end, stop/start grinding powerviolence and a punk rock attitude... and it looks as though I have a contender for the song title of the year: "We'll stab you in the neck because everyone else will stab you in the back." (Not like I really keep track of this for any awards ceremony. Maybe next year.)

_____
To that I'll add they are right up there with Diskonto, Doom and Massgrav.

They have a 7 inch available through No Idea Records out of Gainesville.

HIS HERO IS GONE 15 Counts of Arson

From Epitonic:
Yes, they're from Memphis, Tennessee, but don't expect any Elvis imitators; His Hero Is Gone's songs are powerfully incendiary blitzkriegs of fierce anti-authoritarian, anti-racist, anti-consumerist rage. This band harnesses a hardcore metal pathos that rivals Neurosis and Napalm Death, and like those bands, His Hero Is Gone's music serves as a vehicle for searing, declamatory, far-left social commentary. The music is brooding, primitive and, at times, almost crushingly heavy; the songs range from sluggishly slow to blurry fast, and they are short, incisive, and unapologetically caustic. Guitarist Todd Burdette does the primary roaring and decrying while his brother Paul pounds out propulsive drum rhythms, Carl Auge supplies the epic bass lines and handles the rest of the vocals, and Yannick Lorrain plays a searing razor-edged second guitar.

Pisschrist "Nothing Has Changed" 2006

This is insane thrash hardcore from Melbourne, Australia. I love it but it makes my ears ring! Pisschrïst says that their influences are Totalitär , Anti Cimex, Shitlickers, Crude SS, Avskum, Gloom, Confuse, Gauze, GISM, Mob 47, Moderat Lividation, and DISCHARGE. Right now they are brutalising western Europe on tour. Play this and Pisschrïst off your neighbours, your parents and perhaps your entire city.
